Why do I need to give parental consent?

To help keep younger players safe online, some features in our games require permission from a parent or guardian before they can be used.

If your child is below the required age in their country, we'll ask for a parental email address during sign-up. Once you've given your consent, your child can access the social features available for their age.

We follow privacy laws that help protect children online, including:

  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in the European Union.
  • COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) in the United States.

These laws require us to get permission from a parent or guardian before collecting certain personal information or enabling some online features for younger players.

Until consent has been given, some social features may be limited or unavailable, such as chat and other community features.
