We all know the feeling. You're trying to log in, and you just can't remember the password 😩

You might've seen the terms "email registration" or "email validation" floating around our HelpCenter. But what do they actually mean, and why should you care?

The answer? Security

Everyone forgets their password eventually — yes, even you, and even whoever wrote this article.

That's exactly why we use your email to reset it. 

Not mandatory, but worth it!

Registering an email on BlockStarPlanet isn't required, but here's what it unlocks:

• Without it, there's simply no way to reset a lost password
• With it, you can reset your password instantly — no need to even contact Support (though we do love hearing from you 💛)
• No limit on how many accounts you can link to the same email

One more thing!

Double check that your email account's password isn't the same as your BSP password. And never link an email you don't personally have access to — unless a parent or guardian has agreed to it
